From Seedlings to Selfies: Deb’s Greenhouse is Blooming with Innovation

APRIL 2026

As spring returns to Sturgeon County, Deb’s Greenhouse is getting ready to swing open its doors for another vibrant season on April 22, 2026. Known for its cheerful atmosphere and fresh ideas, it’s the kind of place where a quick plant run easily turns into a full afternoon outing.

Deb’s story starts on a cattle farm and grows into something uniquely her own. As a busy mom of four, she found a way to blend family life with her love of agriculture by building a greenhouse business that could do both. Today, that same spirit carries through in everything she does – including authoring two books, Deb’s Greenhouse Hanging Basket Recipes and Cooking with Deb, sharing her passion and knowledge well beyond the greenhouse walls.

What really makes Deb’s Greenhouse shine is how it mixes innovation with heart. Every plant is tracked with a barcode and SKU system, and their wildly popular “click and collect” service makes shopping easy and flexible. Behind the scenes, there’s an incredible team culture – many staff members start in junior high and return year after year. Deb fosters a workplace where young people are encouraged to bring ideas forward, get creative, and even help shape the greenhouse’s social media presence.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Deb’s Greenhouse without a little fun. Visitors can wander through the “secret garden,” challenge each other to mini golf, and snap photos at the always-anticipated annual selfie wall. This year’s theme gives a wink to Swiftie fans, adding a playful, sing-along-worthy backdrop that’s sure to show up all over your feed.

While the experience feels effortless, there’s a thoughtful strategy behind it all. The team continues to focus on improving efficiencies and making smart purchasing decisions to support steady, sustainable growth—so they can keep delivering great value without losing the personal touch customers love.

Just off Highway 2, Deb’s Greenhouse is easy to find and well worth the trip, whether you’re coming from nearby or making a day of it from farther out. With strong community roots, a loyal following, and a whole lot of personality, it’s no surprise this local gem continues to bloom in Sturgeon County!
